For Mac Users
These following steps are for Mac users only, if you are a Windows user then follow the next method mentioned below.
First of all, disconnect your iPhone from your PC and close the iTunes.
Now with the help of the Finder, Click on Go.
In Go, Select Utilities.
Now in Utilities, Go to Terminal.
Now type the following command and press Enter.
defaults delete com.apple.iTunes StoreActivationMode
Once you have executed the command, try to connect your iPhone to Mac and see if this has fixed the issue.
For Windows Users
These steps are only for Windows users. So, if you are a Mac user follow the instructions mentioned above.
First of all close iTunes. Make sure you save any changes.
Press and Hold the Windows Key and then press the R key to open Run Dialog Box.
Now type the following commands and press Enter.
For 32-bit version of Windows, type:
C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt StoreActivationMode 0
For 64-bit version of Windows, type:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt StoreActivationMode 0
That’s all you need to do. By performing the above-given steps correctly you will be able to solve the problem ”This iPhone is already activated. You may disconnect this iPhone now”. In order to check once again try to connect your iPhone to your PC/Mac using a data cable.
The error is not new to iPhone devices but solutions seem to work with every version of iPhone including the latest iPhone 7, 7+ and the iPhone 6 and 6+.
