Boot into Recovery Mode on Cyanogen and Android

Booting into recovery mode on any Android device is not a difficult task. You can just press and hold the Home + Volume up + down + Power buttons simultaneously in order to boot into the recovery mode.

The method of booting into the recovery mode may slightly change with different smartphones. But here in the case of CyanogenMod, you don’t even need to press the combinations of buttons in order to enter into the recovery mode.

Why may you need to boot into Recovery Mode?

You may need to boot into recovery mode if you want to flash custom ROM on your phone. From the Recovery Mode, you can also wipe/cache partition, to say the least.

Another thing you can do from recovery mode is to be able to factory reset the Android phone without unlocking the device.

However,  some of the CyanogenMod users may find it difficult to enter into the recovery mode without using the key combination. So if you are a CyanogenMod user and want to enter into the recovery mode then follow the below given steps carefully to be able to boot into recovery Mode.

Enable Advanced reboot feature in CyanogenMod

In order to able to boot into the recovery mode, you need to enable Advanced Reboot feature on your Android device. Here is how to do it.

Step 1: At first unlock your phone and go to Settings.

Step 2: Now scroll down and select Developer Option.

Step 3: In Developer Option, turn on Advanced Reboot.

Now that you have enabled Advanced Reboot option to proceed with the steps mentioned below to learn how to boot into recovery mode.

Boot into Recovery Mode in CyanogenMod

Note: Make sure that you have enabled advanced reboot feature before proceeding with the steps given below.

Step 1: Press and hold the Power button.

Step 2: A Pop-up will appear on your screen, Tap on Reboot.

Step 3: Now choose Recovery and then tap on OK.

Wait for a while, and you will be taken into the Recovery Mode in Cyanogen OS running smartphone.

That’s all you need to do in order to enter into the recovery mode on Android device running on CyanogenMod.
